Support & consulting
The result is a super-strong building panel that provides incredible energy efficiency and structural building value. While many timber framers use SIPs, not all SIPs are manufactured in the same way. Hybrid timber frame homes are some of the most energy efficient homes on the market today. Typically, the timber frame section is wrapped in Structural Insulated Panels . We can insulate the conventional sections of the hybrid home with whatever insulation and r value you choose, still creating a very energy efficient home. A hybrid design uses a true post and beam frame for the main living areas , while using partial or no timber frame in the rest of the structure .

The final turnkey cost of a timber frame home ranges from $300 to $320 per square foot. For comparison, HomeAdvisor.com lists the average price of building a home at somewhere between $100 and $200 per square foot. You may discover you don’t need the posts showing in bedrooms and/or baths, which will save you money. A timber frame home takes more time to design than a conventional home.
